Dalton has been recognized by his hometown newspaper 2 consecutive years 2003/2004 as readers voted him favorite area radio personality.

In 2005, Dalton was asked to make the move from the show he hosted for 8 years on 96.9 FM to KKOW's sister station Classic Country 860 AM.

The move was to become Program and Music Director for 860 AM and assist his friend and co-worker, local radio legend Dan Willis with the daily duties of his morning show which Dan passionately hosted for over 40 years.

Dan passed away on May 1st of 2005 and though it was a tough time and transition for Dalton and KKOW listeners, the traditions Dan began have continued and it has been an honor for Dalton to carry on and encourage listeners to "Start their day the AM way!"

Dalton is heard weekdays from 5:30 AM to 10 AM on 860 AM.

Dalton resides west of Pittsburg in Chicopee, Kansas with his wife Traci, sons Drew, Brady and latest edition, daughter Isabella.
